This past week, Avenal High School, in collaboration with the California Health Collaborative, recognized Suicide Prevention Week with a powerful series of events aimed at promoting mental health and spreading hope. Our campus came together for impactful assemblies and engaging lunchtime activities to foster a supportive environment for our students.
Mental health is a critical part of our overall well-being, and it's essential to remind our students that help is always available. Through this partnership, we were able to increase awareness of resources and equip our community with knowledge on how to recognize warning signs, find the right words to talk with someone in crisis, and reach out for professional help.
A huge thank you to the California Health Collaborative for their invaluable support. Together, we are building a network of safety and care right here at Avenal High School.
