The Reef-Sunset Unified School District Board of Trustees is accepting applications for an appointment to (2) vacancies on the Governing Board for Trustee Area 1 and 3. To be eligible for consideration, candidates must be:

• 18 years of age or older

• A citizen of the State of California

• A registered voter

• A resident of Trustee Area 1 or 3 in the Reef-Sunset Unified School District

• Not disqualified from holding civil office by the Constitution or any law of the State of California

• Not employed by the Reef-Sunset Unified School District

 Any qualified person who is interested in serving on the Governing Board to fill the Board Member Trustee Area 1 or 3 seats may obtain and download the fillable application located on the District’s website at www.rsusd.org or from the District office, located at 205 N. Park Ave., Avenal, CA 93204 during regular business hours Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The completed application, along with a letter of interest, must be received by the district, attention Juan Ruiz, Superintendent, 205 N. Park Ave., Avenal, CA 93204 no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

 The Board intends to invite all eligible applicants to attend a public meeting of the Board of Trustees on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the District Office Board/Staff Development Room, located at 205 N. Park Ave., Avenal, CA 93204. The Board will interview all eligible applicants, accept public comment, deliberate and may take action by majority vote to make the provisional appointment at this, April 3, 2024 meeting.
