Yesterday evening, the RSUSD School Board and the Office of State Senator Melissa Hurtado recognized Sheila Verdugo, a proud AES Wildcat and AHS Buccaneer graduate, as well as a lifelong Avenal resident. During her time working for the City of Avenal, Sheila was dedicated to ensuring students had the opportunity to participate in community service, while also organizing events for them to enjoy—from sports to other community gatherings.
We sincerely thank her for her leadership, her commitment, and for positively impacting the lives of so many in our community.
